Harassment is a law which covers an extensive variety of behaviors which is usually linked on things that a person could do in order to harass or upset a person. These behaviors can either be threatening or disturbing and it can also be sexual where in a person harassing another may solicit sexual advancement to his victim which usually happens in a work place when refusal to such harassing acts cannot be done so as to avoid scandals and humiliating experiences. This is why each and every one of us must be able to know the Harassment Laws in order to guide us and for us to know whether or not someone is already harassing us.

Here are some of the things that you need to know when someone is harassing you:

The person doing the act is doing this that could upset you or if that person is making things or saying things that makes you uncomfortable

The person doing such harassing acts is in a way putting you at a threat or is threatening you or your loved ones

If that person is asking you or making sexual advancement in your workplace or in a place that refusal to such act is impossible or if such person is telling you stuff about your looks and things that are sexual in nature which makes you feel very uneasy.

If the person harassing you is saying bad things about you by reason of your race then such person is already committing racial harassment. This is when such person is making jokes about your color, your language which c
an either be spoken or written

You must know all these things because harassment can be committed and could happen in many ways which is why you need to be vigilant at all times. You must understand that those people who often commit these acts are people who have moral ascendancy or those who have authority in your workplace and specifically someone that is above you when it comes to your status in the workplace.

Dealing with harassment is something that might be hard for the victim but all you need to do is take note of the following tips:

Make sure that you keep a record of the dates, time and who committed such harassing acts to you or your family, this way if you call the police, they would not have a hard time asking you about the series of events and what transpired. Call the police every time you experience any of the harassing acts and ask them to keep a record of these events whenever you report these incidents.

If the harassing acts or threats are done through the phone, immediately go to your phone company and ask their advice and they might be able to get the number of the person harassing you. If you receive these harassing phone calls, you might also want to change you number and ask the phone company not to publish your number and make sure that you only give it to people you trust like close friends and of course your family and relatives.

There are other ways that harassment can be committed and as long as you know the different Harassment Laws and your rights, then always feel free to report any of these events to the police.
