The entire world has heard of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico that happened when one of BP's oil wells exploded. What many people do not realize however, is that many of BP's very own personnel were killed by this disaster. If you have had denied BP claims in the past, you can still resubmit them to the Gulf Coast Claims Facility (GCCF), and eventually have them approved.

Not only were the obvious businesses in the region financially devastated by the oil spill, such as the fisherman, dock owners, marine repair shops, but so were many other types of businesses that depend on them for their income.

You would never think of a doctor's or dentist's office being economically hurt by the oil spill, but many of them were totally ruined and were forced to close their doors forever. If you owned one of these offices and depended on the people that were employed in this area for your income, once they left the area, so did your revenue stream.

It was not only the obvious businesses like the ones mentioned above that were so negatively financially affected; it was also the not so obvious. What about all of the hotels and restaurants in the area, did they still do the same business as they did before the oil spill?

If there is oil washing up on the beaches, you can be absolutely sure that not too many people will
be coming there for their normal vacation. So, many of these types of businesses were also forced to either close their doors, or make drastic cutbacks to their staff in order to survive.

Did the people that worked at these hotels and restaurants go to see doctors or dentist? Of course they did. After they lost their jobs, did they continue to see them as frequently as when they had jobs and health insurance? Of course not.

Do the people that own doctors and dentists offices have justifiable claims that should be paid by BP? Of course they do. Have all of them collected their lost incomes from BP? Of course they haven't.

This was just one example of a type of business that was not directly or indirectly negatively affected by the oil spill, but none the less suffered financially because of it. Is it still possible for these types of businesses to submit BP claims to the Gulf Coast Claims Facility (GCCF)? Of course it is.

If your business was financially negatively affected by the BP oil spill, you should submit a claim to the Gulf Coast Claims Facility (GCCF). If you have heard horror stories about all of the BP claims that this organization has denied in the past, sorry to say, that they are all true. However, there is still hope for you if you employee the exact same type of experts that BP does to get your claim accepted by them the first time you turn it in, and later paid out for the actual amount that you lost.
